Ahhhhh Xero, one of the most, if not THE most popular small business software tools BUT is yours accurate?

A lot of business owners are told “Xero is beautiful software, you can do it yourself”, don’t get me Xero IS beautiful software BUT expecting you to do it all yourself and have a beautiful outcome is a little like giving our CEO a pair of hair dressing scissors and expecting her to do a beautiful cut, its not going to happen.

This is where we come in with this health check.

Apon purchasing this product you will be sent a booking link and questionnaire, you will fill it in, book your time and between your purchase and appointment we will fully review your Xero file and make sure its spick and span and if its not we are going to tell you whats wrong and why.

You then have two options, we can give you a special VIP price to fix it for you OR you gave get on to YouTube and work out how to do it DIY style. There is no pressure but at least you will be informed with whats needed and either have the peace of mind your on track or know you need some support.

Some of the things we will check and review are:

– Do your bank accounts actually reconcile, like back to the actual statement? Just allocating the transactions isn’t enough, there are other areas of Xero you need to look at to make sure its all actually reconciled not just allocated, two very different things but often not explained.

– A sense check on your last 3 months of coding. What is coding, thats where your putting each thing you spend, for example when you put officeworks to stationary. We will also check your last 3 months of GST coding on these items too, are you claiming GST on the right things.

– Does your ATO account match your Xero file? Did you know you can claim any interest put on your ATO account? You need to do more the allocate your BAS payments when they show up in your bank but almost treat your ATO account like an account it self but no no don’t add it as a bank account.

– If you have payroll, we need to check over that over your wages payable account also and your super. If you don’t have payroll then not to worry.

These are just some of the things we will check depending on your type of business and file other things might be added in or adjusted to get the best picture of the health of your file.

Once this is done you will get a report with our suggestions and findings and a link to book a meeting with a senior bookkeeper to discuss at a time that suits you.
